Norwich — Rampant Horse Street

Just when you think Kemi can't get any stupider, she always proves you wrong It's a 3 hour drive from Lincoln to Newcastle Lincolnshire is close to Yorkshire, but Doncaster is nowhere near the North East either

It’s actually a lovely place, old fishing village turned beach resort, has a 5km beach and loads of bars and places to eat on it, but their walk of fame is proper try hard. Yeah I’m up to Preston tomorrow, bit harsh to give will a slap but if you ask it’s rude not to 😉

It took me ages to find this place. No doubt in its day it enjoyed a fine vista of the Deeside meadows and marshes, with a view of Chester beyond them. Now it just seems to overlook industrial estates.

That's great! Been following some pages on Sheffield here to find out more about the whole vibe of the city (because all I knew of that so far came from a documentary on its bands). Had a good reason to visit next weekend but train/flight tickets are a bit expensive at such short notice ...

They have so much in Sheffield I make new discoveries every day. When I first came to Sheffield 30 years ago there was about 3 hotels, and a handful of places to eat in the city centre. Now there seems to be an infinite variety.

I used to live in a town where the main employer was the industrial estates around the town, mostly warehousing. There were buses that could get you there and home for office hours. Not for shift start and end times though 🤷

Thank you! I’ve spent so little time in Cambridge that the only thing I really remember is that it’s a long way from the railway station into the city centre.

This is a view of someone on Radio Newcastle though, and to be fair she was asking specifically about buses in Newcastle and got a reply about Lincolnshire. More generally I'd say the common view in Newcastle (I'm not saying it's right) is that the North-East goes from Middlesbrough to Berwick.

Leeds is the second largest financial capital in the UK, it has a rich history of culture and art, and is an important hub of tech development for the UK. The infrastructure and benefit for citizens of Leeds does not reflect that as like most of the UK the profits go to the financial capital:London

A road trip around Norwich? Rocky and flat (well flat, with maybe two hills with a castle on one and a church on the other). Good for place names though. Got to love a city with a street called Rampant Horse Street. (Hopefully he had kind eyes)
