This is a view of someone on Radio Newcastle though, and to be fair she was asking specifically about buses in Newcastle and got a reply about Lincolnshire. More generally I'd say the common view in Newcastle (I'm not saying it's right) is that the North-East goes from Middlesbrough to Berwick.
Leeds is the second largest financial capital in the UK, it has a rich history of culture and art, and is an important hub of tech development for the UK. The infrastructure and benefit for citizens of Leeds does not reflect that as like most of the UK the profits go to the financial capital:London
Well this little chap has up and walked (scampered!) the literal width of England - from Bowness to Wall's End. Didn't disgrace himself at any of the B&Bs he and his human stayed at. Enjoyed all the smells and gallops to be had along Hadrian's Wall. Last seen sipping a pint of Newcastle Brown Ale.
