I'm beyond disgusted. The House investigating Swalwell...but what about Trump...Gonzales... I'm (holds up thumb and forefinger) this fucking close to moving out of this goddamn country. I've had it! The hypocrisy is beyond the pale.

Posts reference Swalwell and Gonzales resigning, repeatedly state "Shame does work," mention "threat of expulsion works," and include a reply asking "what works to keep men from being abusive assholes in the first place?"

Mike Johnson has zero ethics. He protected Gonzales until Swalwell came out. If the assault by Swalwell had not come out, Johnson would still be keeping Gonzales in. One political party takes ethics seriously with clear violations of ethics for personal behavior. Note Trump remains in office.

Wonder if there’s any way in hell Gonzalez will resign ? MAGA Republicans have no problem with Trumpstein, & most likely they’ll support Gonzalez to enjoy a new additional extra vote margin gain when Swalwell quits. When Dems take the high road, it can lead them to fall off a cliff, like Joe did.

Because Repubs are all about their own power & don’t care what it takes to retain it, nor who is hurt in the process. Swalwell knows what he did, so does Gonzales. The difference is that Rs will turn a blind eye but Ds will come down hard, for transgressions far less than Swalwell’s (see Al Franken)
