Posts state the student protest movement was "broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists," and describe responses from government, media and universities: threatening, suspending, expelling and deporting students.

The left has been protesting against Republicans and Trump for years. In 2020 Portland leftists carried out one of the longest running protests of that year, and there have been consistent protests at the Portland ICE facility this year as well
Liberals on Bluesky are chastising the left for not doing antiwar protests right now, asking, spitefully, "where are the college protesters NOW?" Uh... Biden is the reason there aren't massive antiwar protests, motherfuckers. You are deeply unserious people and this skeet explains why:
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Yeah we all know that it's not possible for the president of the United States to break a law right? You fucking dumbass.
“Why aren’t college administrations putting as much pressure on the anti-black racism exhibited by TPUSA as they did the alleged anti-semitism of pro-Palestinian campus protesters? Why is Congress not badgering those University Presidents? Is some free speech more sacred than others? Is some racism
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
you’re right dems are more likely to heed their constituents’ complaints that should have been even more reason not to split the vote on the left how long have we known that if one side splits their votes (protest & non-voters), the other side wins…
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
AND IM TIRED OF THEM PUTTING CHEMICALS IN THE WATER TURNING THE FREAKING FROGS GAY!!
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
You’re ignoring their claim, and focusing on a single phrase that in no way addresses the substance of their argument. You and others like you who refused to vote for Harris helped Trump win. Accept it.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
They’re still protesting her after the election, so, clearly, there are some other motives.
Liberal institutions triumphed over the campus protest movement by dismantling rights to speech and assembly through surveillance, police violence, federal investigations, and lawfare—resulting in leaders’ termination, expulsion, or deportation; why won’t they now come to liberalism’s defense?
A protester who didn't stop protesting even after being nearly beaten to death on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Of course he wasn't a privileged Columbia University protester whining about not having Door Dash after she'd terrorized a Black custodian while taking over the administration building.
And, of course, he looks downright saintly next to a bunch of white Columbia students deciding to occupy a building against the advice of their Palestinian peers before shoving said peers in front of media to defend that occupation. A+ allyship there guys. Nailed it. Solidarity forever.
1. The Biden admin did everything in its' power to crush campus protests 2. the protests moved off campus when it stopped being a hyper-political progressive movement and started being 'literally everyone except writers for the bulwark and neo-nazis' 3. the bulwark is a piece of shit rag!
Before you ask the question of campus protesters you should ask whether it is actually happening. It's so obviously disengenoues when we are still actively engaged in resistance against ICE. This is moderates being crybaby's because they don't have absolute power over the party anymore.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Who is your complaint about? Nonvoters? Third party voters? Third party voters didn't sway the election and nonvoters are a pretty significant pool here
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Oh ok, so you're arguing vibes. Got it.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Sure, go tell it the Bulwark and dipshits like Anna who want teenagers to get killed by Proud Boy cops
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
So you just can't comprehend the data then? That tracks.
One I remember here was on UPenn's campus, Jon Huntsman, at his namesake's campus building for Wharton. They did the same for Governor Corbett, too. Maybe pause & consider that protests/protest movements are often underreported on, because no one *active* knows what you're talking about.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
I looked at data before forming my shitty and biased (how?) opinion, actually. www.nbcnews.com/politics/202... www.cnn.com/election/202... circle.tufts.edu/latest-resea... www.hks.harvard.edu/faculty-rese...
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Not even Hamas is calling it geNociDe. Hamas data below. Just stop with this shit
alternative venues of protest sentiment? So you mean not on campus i.e., you agree that people might choose to protest on places that are not campus given the consequences?
-Democratic leadership apparently counting on student protests were hostile to Gaza protests? -School administrators have made it clear that student wellbeing is not a priority compared to the whims of donors or the administration? -Students have been traumatized seeing people kidnapped in public?
I don't really take "why aren't college campuses filled with anti-war demonstrators" seriously when it's coming from people who agreed with college administrations brutalizing and suppressing then when they did happen. If they did restart you would be calling for the police to beat them again.
Columbia was bending over backward to host the protests, while trying to run a normal class schedule simultaneously. The center of campus was a months long camp site. The front gates a daily amplified protest. Buildings occupied. Library valdalized. Staff accosted. Eventually the cops showed up.
The students are protesting. If you're wondering why there is no encampment, it's because the best organizers were pummeled and are still facing legal troubles from persecution in the first wave. If you've had such a change of heart, why aren't you asking how to protect the protesters from lawfare?
She's making $$$ off a book tour when she spent an entire campaign dismissing the very student protests that the Bulwark is lamenting about. Miss "I'm speaking 😩🤚" wants to repair a reputation she spent months destroying. People are tired of Dems doing it, esp when they want to run again.
They protested their universities' investment (and therefore complicity in) a genocide, and for their trouble they were physically harassed, doxxed, lost access to their education, and in some cases subject to legal proceedings.
To the extent that protesters were disciplined in heavy-handed ways, that sucks. I don't think it was very many people we're talking about, heh. And I'm pretty sure they'll be okay, having been, after all, the kind of folks who get into Columbia. And I'm SURE I would dislike nearly all of them.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
interesting conclusion to draw from that sentence? was referencing my first run in with police opposition to protest, not my last. so weird to get this mad because I disagree that the campus protesters gave up out of fear. you're red and mad online, insisting that they really are cowards.
"“Why aren’t college students protesting” stories are almost always wrong (they are protesting), omit crucial context (they were brutally punished for protesting before), and somehow suggest that 19 yr olds have more moral responsibility than elected officials three times their age"
Sometimes harsh crackdowns are effective in suppressing protest. Has there been any indication that Dem officials and uni admins would change tack and meaningfully support pro-Palestine protesters, now that Trump is back in? Mostly I see admins caving to Trump on free speech and assembly
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
That's not what gaslighting is.
Geebz, I took a glance at the defunding ordeal for the Pro-Palestine movement February 2025--and it looks like it requires like dissertation level investigation shit. Ooooo, I didn't get enough sleep for that.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Yeah it's like people said, it was about forcing a decision. Make it clear that supporting genocide will make it much harder to win the election so they have to decide what's worth more, winning or funding israel. And they chose israel.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
In a handful of schools some students weren’t able to finish classes they paid for bc of protests. The job of universities is to teach, not create a safe space for students and outside nitwits to halt teaching for days or weeks on end.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Yeah are people just forgetting that late into 2025 foreign national students were DEPORTED en masse regardless of anything for speaking out against Israel online??
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Stop gaslighting Jews. It was antisemitic. There’s more than enough evidence collected by task forces formed by the courts and universities to address the problem. Two things can be true: the protests were accompanied by heavy antisemitism AND Trump policies over reached in addressing it.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
that would make *a lot* of sense
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
How do you call yourself anti-fascist when you're pro-Hamas?
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
well now that Israel is invading Lebanon, has displaced 1/5 of it's population, throwing up further obstacles to the peace process on the single biggest immediate problem we face (the Iran war) ... no they were right on the geopolitics, Israel is a problem. Of course the U.S. is ALSO a problem!!
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Alright cool, I think we've effectively established your inhumanity now. I hope that you are identified and outed to your local community so that people are able to effectively deal with you in a way that protects them and their children from your perverted bloodlust.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
So few ppl actually acknowledge student body turnover. And, today's 18- & 19-year-olds were 8-10 when Trump was first elected, so he's been (former) President for almost their entire living memory. Even fewer ppl acknowledge that younger cohorts have a different political baseline bc of this.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
And I don't blame people who oppose the genocide. I oppose the genocide. I blame people who weaonize their anger towards counterproductive ends.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Your questions about abusing Hamas captives are mostly answered by my "Hamas is basically Nazis" tshirt
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Again, Dems largely leave protests/protesters alone and don’t try to force them out, Republicans in power do. It’s the asymmetrical aspect of our politics. Universities cave to any pressure. That’s the story, media folks should always preface that first
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
You clearly don't, so I don't see what moral authority you're clinging to.
My favorite part of the Biden administrations brutal and fascistic crackdown on college students right to protest was when the idea of “antisemitism monitors” got floated. I kept thinking of Ben Shapiro wannabes flipping a badge whenever somebody watched Mel brooks like “AM… you’re under arrest!”
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
You might disagree but there are Dem voters who genuinely feel distrust toward campus protestors *for this reason* and you can't insult them out of it
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Human lives in Gaza, but not in Africa (USAID), the 32 people killed by ICE in the US in 2025, the 3,600 people who’ve died now in Iran…?
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
The ADL and AIPAC are odious. The Zionist right has tons of lunatics like that Hen Mazzig guy acting in incredible bad faith. I find them to be reprehensible. And all of them were accusing Biden of being too friendly to Palestine. Trump even called Schumer a Palestinian as an insult!
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
It would be interesting to see to what extent indivisible and other groups are trying to get students to marches and what success they are having. I know repro organizing on campuses has had some energy but not as much as I would expect under the circumstances.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
I don’t think ICE, the crusade against trans people, the war with Iran, and further empowering Netanyahu are acceptable tradeoffs for making the Dems more aligned on this one issue, personally
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."

"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Maybe you should speak to some Jewish students. Being blocked from classes and accused of being a "zio" plus tearing down posters of literal kidnapped babies isn't the best look. And how is it that it all began on 10/8 before Israel even fought back?
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Here's the response from liberal UCLA in Blue Los Angeles in Blue California where cops continuously illegally shoot protesters with "less lethal" rounds despite court orders not to
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
The not so obvious answer is that pro-Israeli intel and funding backed the anti-Bidden protests. They then sold out protest leaders and the vulnerable. American conservatives and Israeli operatives rotted out legitimate protest. This in the defense of genocide and endless, profitable, war.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Answer the question
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
“Results were split among political parties: Ninety-two percent of the Israeli right believed Trump's presidency was above average (including 73% who said he was one of the best presidents), whereas only 34% of the Israeli left held positive views of him.” Wow, shocker. I wonder if other counties
People ignoring the bipartisan war against students (police/vigilante violence, smear campaigns, lawfare) that chilled protests should be ashamed of themselves. They are also erasing the very anti-war and anti-Zionist Jewish voices that most clearly distance American Jews from US and Israeli policy.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Well you're at least some disingenuous little troll, that much is obvious.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Yup those paid agitators did their jobs well
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Yes. He was. You are actively revising history and deliberately lying. He was condemning the protests as "violent" because they were being attacked by right-wing gangs and terrorist organizations like the JDL and Betar.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
So what you're saying is that events like this didn't happen under Biden's watch? bsky.app/profile/born...
In 2024, anti-genocide protestors at UCLA were assaulted by pro-Israel agitators with police permission, attacked & arrested by cops, banned from places & groups, and suspended. Now our even more fascist govt jails & deports on a whim. This generation of student protestors was ACTIVELY destroyed
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
I saw plenty of that at UCLA and when I called it out I was very viciously shot down so excuse me if I don’t really think too highly of these campus protestors. If a Free Tibet rally was preventing Chinese students from going to class unless they publicly denounced the CCP that would be wrong too.
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
What are you trying to ask me, chud?
"The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students."
Zionists are the good guys. I assume you are a racist. Blocked!
