Trump and his goons will never see the Hague. George W Bush made sure of it in 2002. Nixon refused to agree to ratification to the Geneva Convection protocols l and ll saying they favoured terrorist groups and limited military operations. Both Bush and Trump have broken Convection rules.

Running out of options unless more elected folks suddenly grow a spine. I honestly don’t believe most in the military would support any of what’s going on above them outside of fulfilling direct orders. But yeah, it would take many brave souls if shit gets worse, if that’s even possible.

crucially they decided the president has immunity for official acts, which any rational opposition would read as giving them legal daylight to press the point of official vs. personal, and also to test the whole ruling and how it could possibly hold up within the rest of the legal system

I agree, and I wish it was that simple. Soldiers in Vietnam, for example, who refused to carry out illegal orders would sometimes have a live grenade "inadvertently" dropped into their foxhole that night. And it didn't come from the enemy....

If he honored his Oath he would refuse the Unlawful Orders that placed him in harm’s way. The senior military leadership of the US has been failing miserably when it comes to defending the US from all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. These are career military officers and they know better
