"Reading this article makes me so incredibly angry. Some will say it is deliberate gaslighting. And yet, I'm pretty sure Streeting believes every word. He's uncritically accepted the transphobic 'safety' framing and thinks he's doing the right thing by trans people."
I think the positive interpretation is that between this and Philipson's disappearing act, it shows that the ground is shifting in Labour. Ambitious ministers know they need to at least sound pro-Trans which is a tremendous advance from 10 months ago. The pressure is working.
