I mean, among the reasons I have been more or less rejected by that field is the fact that I don't put up with bullshit like this and I don't uphold that status quo (Also, I guess most people find my music unremarkable? I think it is cool, but that only goes so far...)

Sometimes I let myself be a little bitter that I spent the ages of 16-30 trying to do music when I should have been trying to get better at literally anything other than trying to make other people listen to me masturbate (sry that's what bedroom producers do)

Feels very weird to be talking to artists 10 years younger than me with hopes and dreams of living off their music, at a point in my life where I've accepted I'm personally better off making money in other ways to fund my music career and not worry so much about music being a source of income

Perhaps it's aimed at amateur. Or an opportunity for professionals to promote like when participating in a show, a com tool to occupy space with the public & continue selling music. Building relationships with venues that will later hire you is also strategic, no? @eiramackennashzual.bsky.social
