there's a strand of christians i've met offline too but mostly sees here that thinks christianity was corrupted by ever trying to become a state religion anywhere. i guess i would just find it really untenable to be christian if i believed that.

And I'll give a reminder that you are a public officeholder in the federal government, and you should not be doing or saying anything which promotes or endorses any religion. Do you want to be inclusive? Practice fully separation of church and state.

It's true that some Christians like the appearance but don't follow the teachings of Christ in their lives. There are also true followers who can help others without judging them. I try to be the latter when I meet a homeless person begging on the street. 💙
