Idea for an animated movie: "Luce: across the Pope-verse". Satan is creating anti-popes by meddling with the "canon events" of popes in other universes and bringing them to our own. Robot antipopes, cynocephalus antipopes... even women antipopes! Luce must undertake a pilgrimage to solve the mess.

It would be amusing if the Pope invoked infallibility at this point to declare Trump a dangerous and evil man. And that anyone who followed him was excommunicated. Like Pius did with communism in 1949.
And for what he did to the last Pope. He that courts the authority of religion must reckon with its judgments as well as its ceremonies. The trouble begins when a man wishes the Church to sanctify his ambition, yet resents the possibility that it might instead examine his conscience.

There are very few times when a single guy is actually solely responsible for a sweeping problem. This is one of them. Yes there's politics in the church but he's the earthly voice of God*. So this is in fact his doing and he didn't have to do it.
Catholic churches & all other cults suck for it's transgressions, especially current trans-aggressions. However, It's nice to see that they have a directive currently asking for non-violence regarding 'war.' It's again worth noting that they are still against trans folks, which is so messed up.
