No one will truly understand what this means to me, as a person and a wrestling fan. I was in a DARK place as a teen and one of the only bits of happiness I felt was watching Hayabusa wrestle. He was more than a wrestler to me, he was my light. It’s 5 am and I’m balling my eyes out. 😭

I think the character originated with the falling-asleep-in-church skit. I say that because Atkinson is credited in that as character “Mr Bean”, while Angus Deayton is “Mr Sprout”. Like placeholder names until they thought of something better, but it stuck.
