Posts contest a presidential claim that the U.S. is the only country with birthright citizenship. Multiple messages state "Approximately 35 countries worldwide offer unconditional birthright citizenship (jus soli)" and include explicit criticism of the president (e.g., "our president... is a fucking moron").

Not to mention that it’s another of his uncountable lies.
"Those who adopt a child abroad or have a child through surrogacy often assume that their child will automatically be born British if one of the parents is British. This is often not the case. The difficulty is that British nationality law does not always follow biology,…" — Free Movement
J. Barrett reacted to Sauer's argument that children don't receive birthright citizenship if their parents lack "domicile" in the U.S. Her reply appeared concerned what would happen to children of enslaved people who were dragged in chains and didn't intend to stay. www.rawstory.com/trump-birthr...

It is quite refreshing to see that Trump not only insults all his allies, but also his own country, calling it stupid.
I seriously don't understand how conservatives are convincing themselves that birthright citizenship is a bad thing. Like...99% of the people suggesting we get rid of it is literally only a citizen by birthright, which means that their citizenship would be in question if we got rid of it.
Identity papers were created in C.E. 1830 out of racism, but no one is trying to get rid of them. Thus Trumpy the Clown will use this precedent to try to get rid of birthright citizenship; Trumpy the Clown will also use the Amendment which says you can only be president via a de jure residence.

I'm sorry. But who on earth expects the truth out of the mouth of Donald Trump? Are people really that stupid, still? He's a lying rapist fraud. The end.
Our president, who says we're the only country to allow birthright citizenship is a fucking moron. Approximately 35 countries worldwide offer unconditional birthright citizenship (jus soli or "right of the soil") to children born on their territory, regardless of their parents' citizenship status.

Trump is a know-it-all narcissist and among other things an unbelievably ignorant bastard who must devalue people & ideas in order to maintain a false sense of superiority. He’s at least 1500% dumber than the smartest turd.

Roughly three dozen countries, primarily in the Western Hemisphere, offer unconditional birthright citizenship (jus soli) to anyone born within their territory, regardless of the parents' nationality. Key nations include the United States, Canada, Mexico, and almost all of South and Central America.

01Apr26, Pew Research dt LIED saying US is the only country with birthright citizenship. Many countries have varying ways to become a citizen. “That leaves 33 countries, incl the US, where birthright citizenship is automatic and generally applicable regardless of the parents’ legal status.”-PewRsh

You can SEE the lingering effects of that shit, used to be FIVE Catholic churches here, divided by ethnicity as in Germans, Irish, Italians, everybody else (white) and everybody else (non-white, mostly Latino.) Now it's four and they're all diverse and Protestant churches are white. So, progress?

There was an argument that the Founders never envisioned "birthright tourism", and therefore the Constitution doesn't allow birthright citizenship. The Founders never envisioned automatic rifles capable of mowing down hundreds. Therefore, the Constitution doesn't allow keeping and bearing such arms.

What gets me about this BS is that Trump nor Miller would be at the top of it the way things were, Miller 'cause he's Jewish and Trump because of his German heritage. I'm literally Whiter than White but I'm not a WASP with English heritage. I'm old, I remember White-on-White racism, fuck all that.

Gorsuch is a shrug your shoulders asshole about Native Americans (the absurdity is mind blowing) & Kavanaugh, as a clerk, penned an opinion questioning the rights of Native Americans and lest we forget that during his confirmation hearings, he questioned the rights of Native Hawaiians. Disgusting.

The Roman Empire had birthright citizenship.
"Sauer also conceded at various points that Congress could adjust the meaning of domicile, and therefore who is eligible for birthright citizenship at a given timeOther times,he seemed to suggest that one could appeal a denial of citizenship to a newborn if theparents intended to stay in the country"
