Posts accuse messaging of being "propaganda" that paints China as the enemy ("This is propaganda tho, convincing dimwit Americans that China is the enemy"). Recurring phrases: "Emperor model" for China, claims China "has not attacked anyone... since 1979." Other posts link war framing to US domestic impacts: "the country is at war," "troops describe overwhelming stress & disillusionment & walking away," rising gas prices, skipping meals, "rationing RX," and "GOP plotting health care cuts."

But idk it’s hard to say they are a less responsible superpower than the U.S. at this point. All the handwringing in the west about its dysfunction and transgressions feels dated and cope-fueled.
Frump golfs, the country is at war. Troops describe overwhelming stress & disillusionment & walking away from service altogether. Gas prices climbing & workers feeling the pain. Americans skipping meals, rationing RX to cover health care costs GOP plotting health care cuts to pay for Trump’s war.
There was a Chotiner interview a couple weeks back where the guy was arguing we had to support the war because good stuff could happen and Chotiner kept asking if he thought Trump was interested in or capable of doing those good things and the guy had to keep being like "No, but...". Same vibe.
Four Democratic representatives voted against a war powers resolution that aimed to compel President Trump to halt military action. By voting against this, they effectively allowed the military operations to continue without new, immediate congressional limitations. One was Juan Vargas.
America became its own enemy being fixated in its own pretences of exceptionalism. While I do get why some see China a certain way (my family had their reasons to immigrate from there to here), their focus is on stability and growth, as they continue to emerge out of the Century Of Humiliation.
Compare with Truman's integration of the US military in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Also, trying 100 times to whack Castro meant the Mob had a good sucker paying for each sure to fail attempt. One of the Watergate CIA guys wrote a paperback novel about one of the failed attempts.
Trump is probably announcing the Actual Literal Empire in that announcement btw. Western intel agencies realized in 2010s that total global collapse is inevitable “no matter what” around mid-century. They wanted to keep the veneer of democracy till 2040s but it looks like time’s up now
I love my Chinese friends & cousins/fam, but by gosh they’re being so annoying lately. Sm propaganda must be at an all time high cos their constant whining & bitching abt Japan is at an all time high. Criticising them for the same things China & Chinese ppl do 😂 Me: stop being a hypocrite.
