Put wind turbines and solar panels on them. Perfect place to put them, and the foundation is already there. Would need to run cables but that’s far better than an oil pipeline. In any case, I was imagining panels on whatever structures are built at the charging stations.

Maybe, but that would require buying two or maybe three times as many busses vs just plugging them in to a dual 240v charger overnight.

Do not discount 120V options. All you need is wire.

That's nice, but i couldn't help but notice that you had nothing to say about International Transgender day of visibility. I would really love it if you didn't leave the community that helped get you elected in the dust

You maybe have some spare time to be chancellor of Germany 🥺👉👈

They aren’t big enough. Solar panels aren’t terribly efficient, and there isn’t enough surface area on 99% of consumer vehicles to make it work well.
"When it comes to fast affordable curb side EV charging there’s nowhere I’m aware of in NYC that is not underserved. Some communities are no doubt worse provided for than others but none are close to adequately served."
Right so you agree that Mandani did not wrongly use the term “underserved” in this context? If so you could have expressed the idea that chargers are needed everywhere much more directly? Like cmon man, I can see the motte and bailey here

Also, a greener city would keep the Elizabeth Street Sculpture Garden for people to sit and enjoy the outdoors. You're doing so many good things. Let us keep that garden!!!

That’s great! We are all starved of EV sites. We need to laser focus on cleaner greener cities. Let’s get that temperature down!

We do. But the solar plane was MASSIVE, and din't go very fast. Cars need to be, not 20 meters across... Solar charging a car gives a couple of miles per year. It's not nothing, but it's not enough.
