Posts debate religion's role in U.S. politics: calls for a secular government and 'no religions should have an overt place in American politics,' criticisms of Christian nationalism ('Christian Nationalism has NOTHING to do with Christianity'), and critiques of modern evangelicalism as tied to consumerism ('modern evangelicalism as an unholy love child of Christianity and consumerism'; 'jesus-freakery has no place in politics').

They then make the opposition smaller, and therefore they can narrow down their in-group. So the "Monotheist" standard degrades to "Judeo-christian" to "christian" to "protestant" to "evangelical" like "white"
"Sorry to make people further upset but like this is 25% Nashville and 75% the cultural footprint of Orange County as an ideal. Modern evangelicalism as an unholy love child of Christianity and consumerism leads to publishing/media points that send this stuff to one of two poles."

That's a bizarre nickname for a group of people. Especially since Christianity has long been worse for freedom and humanity than Islam. Especially especially because the most extreme aspects of Islam are only empowered because American Christians kept killing the more liberal leaders.
"I don't approve of cramming your religious faith down people's throats, and when the top of the chain couches these operations in this hyper-Christian tone, it flies in the face of the freedom of religion that the Constitution enshrines and that our men and women in uniform sign up to defend,"
"I'm going out on a limb & say jesus-freakery has no place in politics. Neither Pete Kegsbreath's brand of twisted white christian nationalism nor Rep. Talarico's brand of compassionate, scholarly christianity. This is not & never has been a christian nation. Thanks for your attention to this matter."
You make a lot of assumptions... I stand by my point which is christianity and indeed no religions should have an overt place in American politics. Government should be secular. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
