Oh agreed 100%. Nintendo already skirts the line due to how they handle fan content and Sony is getting close with their gobbling up of devs in the hunt for live service supremacy. I wish I could afford to build a PC but the AI industry has fucked that up, too. Most anti-consumer economy ever.

Most people who use Microsoft products have used them their whole lives and it would be too inconvenient to learn new programs, so they have to keep using them even if they load them up with ai crap. Auroral and I had a big stream event setup for last year around Xbox because it's rarely shown off on our stream. Then they started all their AI shit and we cancelled the plans quick. So glad we dodged that bullet. RIP Xbox

I never really thought how much I don't care for it now compared to a kid. We all looked forward to see how the next gen would push tech in gaming and always amazed when it happened. But I don't know the last big "advancement" I was hype about. None of this stuff is interesting atm.

25 years ago, the Xbox brand was an interesting gamble by Microsoft to break into the video gaming sector. I *love* the original Xbox. Very forward-thinking. I'll always enjoy my original Xbox console and playing games on it. Now? The brand is dead to all but the AI-defending video game player.
