Posts contrast views of Dubai: one calls it “the most fake place” with “the fakest people,” while another praises Dubai as inclusive—“your country of origin is not your identity” and “You are simply a person who happens to carry a certain passport.” Replies describe the city as superficial or attractive only to tourists; documents reference Russia, Germany, expat life, and passports.

I was born in Russia, spent my teenage years in Germany, and for the past five years I have called Dubai home. To me, Dubai represents a place where your religion, nationality, or background simply doesn’t matter. You can say where you’re originally from, and people understand that your country of origin is not your identity …. it’s just part of your journey. You are simply a person who happens to carry a certain passport. "
I’ve never been to Dubai but I understand your point, especially living in Germany where almost everyone seems envious of your success. However, I can’t imagine living there for a longer time. It feels quite superficial to someone who observes this from the outside. 😅
Poland looks more like Dubai and Abu Dhabi for me - just a couple of years earlier. Wait till rockets and drones fly over Warsaw. https://blossom.primal.net/e84d47acd09afb27521f4f2c771656537cbde82ab1695b081eaffec9a5215e86.jpg
"Just remembered I used to work with a girl years ago and I'd heard she'd moved to Dubai to be an influencer. Found her on insta, sure enough there she is influencing her way to tell us all how much safer it is in Dubai than over here."
There was someone I followed on here who lives there swearing black was white that it was all overblown. All totally safe. Whilst living in a slave state.

Dubai is the most fake place with the fakest people I've ever came across.
