The taxing authority in CA is like the bad Terminator in T2. Arnold hits him with everything he has, reducing him to a puddle. Then it re-forms and chases him again. I’m a tax pro. We would much rather deal with the IRS.

Taxation without representation at work. Non-residents/out-of-state visitors don’t get to vote for state officials, so painful arrangements don’t get addressed with the same intensity as state residents.
