I detest fearmongering, but the recent news of a VC CEO taking over this platform? Yeah idk, dude. Porn is already censored and accounts getting suspended based on vague, nothing-burger explanations. I’m not optmistic about where this platform is headed and have not been for a long while.
CEO-ing these days is usually based around ability to A) Schmooze for money and B) Not cause a PR disaster (But honestly if you do you'll be fine). What this means is that you gotta be rich enough to mingle with rich folks, and likeable to a generic audience (So, not likely to push change)
🪰 GLOSS: Notice the headline doesn't say "layoffs are happening" — it says they're "feeling awfully tempting," like cutting thousands of jobs is a craving CEOs are nobly resisting.
