Yeah. And you're only taxed on the money over a million - extremely reasonable. The state legislature did re-introduce two related bills (see pic). Not sure what the status of these are or if the governor would sign them if they pass. They were in the 2024-2025 session too, & didn't get through

It will still feel quite regressive here if this passes without replacing the sales tax revenue in cities! I'm not sure why the governor is ignoring that huge impact but we have not been given tools to address this (and the gov killed a good one last session!). bsky.app/profile/dodd...
