When I was younger, politicians caught having affairs with their staffers would resign… especially if that staffer allegedly killed herself by lighting herself on fire. Politicians would say they are going back home to work on themselves and spend time with family. I miss those simpler times.

I can understand the incentives for a politician to base the views that they express in this way because they are incentivized to by voters. I can’t understand operating like this as an individual
