Green Day could have played Basket Case and Hitchin' A Ride, but they played Holiday and American Idiot. If people actually needed him to include the explicit references to Trump/ICE/MAGA to get the implication, that very much seems like a them problem.

I saw Prince live at the Garden and it was the best concert I’ve ever seen. My wife said she wasn’t the biggest Prince fan before the show but she also said it was amazing. Also, Janelle Monet opened for him before she broke out.

Everyone mad at Green Day not saying "MAGA agenda" or singing the bridge of Holiday. They had a short time to sing partial songs. It was a medley. Also, think of it this way: they knew damn well the 🍊💩 was going to hate watch and didn't give him the satisfaction of a mention.

Don’t wanna be an American idiot - says the lyrics. I guess meaning he’s rather be a smart one. But to be honest, some of us in the rest of the world are having a hard time being fair to all Americans when just because of those who are idiots the whole works is turned upside down.

Green Day wants to sing "idiot maga agenda" but is censorer either by the superbowl or the broadcaster. Anyway, i would say the anti-political is not so much Green Days fault but a problem with the event organizer. Lack of (allowed) statement can be reframed as misunderstanding.

I guess nobody else sees why it's a problem that Green Day chose to repeat a song that they did over a decade ago and by doing so they've kind of weakened their own point.
