No state election officials should comply with the FBI order to come to Washington. They will use the visit to threaten, plot against, or plant evidence on you. They will lie, smear, manipulate, and obliquely threaten you if you go. No compliance with Traitor Trump is permissible at this point.

Even if it could be done legally and constitutionally (it can't), there simply is no federal agency that is capable of running polling places and counting votes and all that sort of stuff. And such a thing could not be spun up in the ten months between now and the midterms. Literally can't be done.

Obviously the Speaker doesn't understand how elections are held and votes are counted. So it's probably for the best that those tasks are handled by the States, rather than the Federal government.

I don't follow the logic in that. It's unconstitutional anyway, but Trump has had no problem manipulating national agencies. Why would an electoral one be any different? Agencies and legislatures split across 50 different states insulates them from a singular point of manipulation.
