He was a human Skinner Box (also v. tall and looked like Adam Driver). His character was exactly the sort of toxic jerk that one falls for in one's early 20s, but better-written than most of them. The real trick was when he became someone with whom the audience empathized.
It's hard to give the movie itself a rating just bc of the unique viewing experience w the live original score accompanying it but I think it holds up enough. As far as the original score goes it was refreshing to see it taking the movie so serious. It made some moments feel like I was some-

Me putting on BIG MISTAKES: Oh, Dan Levy's in this. Okay this will be some messy family comedy -- oh shit, holy shit, wait hold on they now have to raid a morgue?! That escalated quickly. 🫠 www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTGe...
I saw Mad Bills To Pay last year at New Directors, New Films. To listen to the director and one of the stars on @wnyc.org a year later as I was geeking out on the news that it's releasing widely this weekend made me so happy for the team as a 🇩🇴. ¡De lo mío! www.wnyc.org/story/a-bron...
the way all of Kusimayu's family and neighbors sing to her to comfort her right up until she's not her anymore. the way the show contrasts the babble of humanity (imperfect, but joyful and full of a future) with the false, smiley bullshit of the hive mind (shiny, plastic, sterile, dead end) is peak
Your cue: random TV scene that you think about a lot. Go! Mine: the times when Matt from "Snuff Box" finds out that the women he's hitting on have boyfriends www.youtube.com/watch?v=I66a...
"12 monkeys is such a crazy ass show. it's like late stage time travel. like unrestrained time travel taken to its natural conclusion. like other shows send one guy back in time and say they're about time travel. 12 monkeys? fucking time travel super structures. every season more insane than the last"
i've never watched the movie so i can't compare the two personally, but i've heard people say that the first half of the first season is pretty in line with the movie, and beyond that it goes completely off the rails (affectionate)

yeah the show is absolutely fucking insane. if you like time travel at all you'll probably love it. i don't think i've ever seen another piece of media that goes anywhere close to as hard on time travel and its implications than 12 monkeys.
"This month's traumatic animated film is When the Wind Blows. I've never heard of this movie until this week and it looks devastating."
It will feel like being punched in the balls.

Really impressed how they adapted the off-off-Broadway production of TITANIQUE to the big stage of Broadway but they did! It seemed like it was only yesterday I saw it in the basement of a grocery store. Also, seeing this musical on the actual day the boat sank is... well, let's just say, a vibe.
This movie is so silly. But how can I pass up a chance to watch a flick about possessed murder jeans in a corporate brainwashed retail store😁👖🩸 #Nowwatching Slaxxx #Horror365Challenge 28/365 #mutantfam #horrorfam #horrorsky #horrorcommunity #horror #filmsky #cinemasky #movies #moviesky
