Posts quote Fire Brigades Union leader Steve Wright: “If people think that Nigel Farage, a city trader millionaire & his mate, Richard Tice, are gonna be the people that can fix this country for the benefit of the majority, they are wrong”. Mentions #politicslive, a Guardian article: “Farage accused of ‘parroting Kremlin lines’ after remarks on UK troops in Ukraine”, and calls to keep Farage away from power.

Farage is a mini me Trump
#NigelFarage - “I don’t apologise for things that are complete made-up fantasies. Some of what I heard was just absolute nonsense by people with very obvious, if you looked, political motivation.” Later he acknowledged “aggressive banter” #WakeupWales 1/2 www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
"Farage: "I believe in vaccinations when they're vaccinations. I don't think what happened with Covid were vaccinations. You have to keep having them every 6 months." Conspiratorial nonsense. Some vaccinations like Covid shots require multiple/seasonal doses because immunity fades & viruses change."
"Like flu"
There are many reasons for decent people to be fearful of men like Farage and Trump. They're both cruel and greedy. Misogynists and racists. But their ability to resonate with *hidden* ugliness in others, is indeed powerful and troublesome.

What I find interesting about Hanson and Farage is they were around a bit at the turn of the millennium, died back, and then came back *in the same person*, which seems different to e.g. the FN where they had to change leader (admittedly to the leader's daughter) to successfully reinvent themselves.

...leader." He has already suggested he will abolish the OBR. Other regulatory bodies will also bite the dust, before Farage embarks on Truss style economics. This time, nobody will have the faintest idea what is going on, and will only have the Fagash Fuhrer's words, "all is fantastic," to grasp.

At least he’s consistent, but it in a good way…
"So, as Mr Farage seems to have given up attending Parliament, are we to assume that in his case, MP stands for malicious prick rather than member of Parliament?"
Malignant Pestilence
There’s a limit of how many people will ever vote for a Farage party because a big percentage of the population fucking hate him and that’ll never change no matter what he says. And the more he says, the more people think it’s Russian funded. His biggest opportunity is non reform voters staying home

They'd actually need to be IN the country for starters
and lets just do some math for fun. 1 trillion/ 4000 refugees = Farage's idea of money well spent. Does this seem like good economic policy? It doesn't to me, but then I also think Farage is an idiot incapable of doing basic math. This is why he became a con man instead of getting a real job.
