Posts reference the Old City Hall subway station: "midnight swearing in down in the old City Hall subway station" (event), use as a set piece for a comic story, and general praise for train station architecture; mentions the station as a historic site with active 6 train track, MTA tours, and special events.

Let's be absolutely clear: the station did need work doing to it in the 1960s. You couldn't run the level of service through New Street that we have now with the layout at track level. That improved significantly. Above platform level? Well BR did what it could: sell the air rights.
Escalators delivered by rail! Our volunteers worked tirelessly to make this happen (3500 signatures on our petition!). Let’s now rescue our foot tunnels! Please sign the petition in link 👉https://www.escalate-now.com/
One of my first dates with my girlfriend included staying on the 6 as it turned around at the south end of the line so we could get a glimpse of this station. It’s a symbol of neglected beauty beneath our feet. It’s central to @nkjemisin.bsky.social’s Great Cities duology. This is SO cool.
Update: Now they have ads on trains too https://x.com/4jhapp_lw/status/2005564732082892946?s=20
@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social doing the midnight swearing in down in the old City Hall subway station is too cool! (FYI, the station is not actually abandoned - the 6 train still uses that stretch of track and it is a very well maintained historic site for MTA tours and special events)
First time using Cambridge North station, due to engineering works completely closing Cambridge itself. Didn’t realise there isn't a shop or any kind of cafe etc. There’s a fast food van outside but due to where the rail replacement bus dropped us off I only saw it once I was past barriers…
