Posts urging people to "vote for dems" and "vote for DEMS!", arguing voting is necessary to "save your country"; one post questions logic of not voting against Trump/Republicans because "the Democrats haven’t motivated them" and don’t check off voters' top issues. Common words/phrases: dems, Democrats, vote, Republicans, Trump, motivated, save your country.

They can stay informed about the issues & candidates on their ballot. Vote. Call their reps. Get involved in their community, eg-food, clothing, & school supply drives; town halls, etc
"Wow so poetic. Maybe force a vote on it."
This is one of those things that people see which triggers a response of "But but...the Republicans!" or "Blame the stupid voters, they stayed home and now we have fascism and I'll never forgive them!" instead of fighting against our only hope, the Democrats.
So the point of suggesting advertisements to tell people 'why they should vote for Dems' went entirely over your head. It doesn't occur to you that they're talking about *better messaging* than 'don't vote red'? Libs lose because people like you LOOK for reasons to shoot at each-other. Stop. Grow up
"This is the job of the Democratic Party and they failed"
LMFAO it's BOLLOCKS that 7 million Democrats sat home and handed the election to Trump, knowingly and intentionally because their own party was just like Trump. You and yours own this, you put him in office more than anyone. Including his own voters. Take a bow, this is YOUR baby.
Democracy is only working when we're working to keep it going. It needs participants and voter turn-out to continue being strong. The wheels of democracy turn slowly, but they do turn. With guidance, nurturing, and a steady hand, it has survived over 236 years so far. It needs our love + admiration
@danwentzel They are - but the big money is sucking the oxygen in the room. There are leaders emerging, they just don't have enough progressive genetics to be of any use to the Democrats now. The Democrats may have some progressive tendencies, but Obama and Biden were not progressives […]
I’ve voted Democrat for ten years now and we still have a fascist dictator desecrating the nation with no clear end in sight. And the opposition party to should at least be a little bit disruptive, maybe stop capitulating and attempting bipartisanship with the party of neo-Nazis and Christofascists.
The wingnuts patiently and systematically subverted the Republican party, one county at a time, two steps forward and one step back, starting literally in about 1964. Opposing “activists” want 1. Ideological purity 2. One weird trick They don’t want you to know 3. ??? 4. The Movement wins!
Bernie sanders always block the bill and sabotage the election not because"isn't perfect",but "it helps democrat and it's obstacles for him to get more money and power" why we still listen to this billionaire's deception tactic slop? It's time to get rid off this old fart that ruin people's future.
"Just getting around to reading this, but it’s very worth your time. Count me among those who got it from the beginning. I have my own thoughts on some of the archetypes represented among those who didn’t, but I’ll save that for another time. newrepublic.com/article/2042..."
You’re hearing “both parties are the same” but what’s actually being said is “both parties suck” and that is true
"This is the job of the Democratic Party and they failed"
I heard a lot about the agony caused by gerrymandering from my Ohio relatives over the holidays. Those weirdo district maps have crucifyied Ohio which used to be a swing state, but is now locked in MAGA-red, not reflecting the majority of voters' wishes and needs.
Well, Sanders was never a member of the party anyway. The two parties in the US are parties in any reasonable sense because the American system isn't a democracy in any meaningful sense. They're just factions baked into the state but that doesn't mean there isn't leadership in both parties
Yes, those supposed leftists saying both parties are the same are delusional. Do we need to do some house cleaning? Sure, but we are definitely not the same. And a third party is not going to win though I suspect Jill Stein will make her usual appearance in 2028 after disappearing for four years.
Red v Blue, Left v Right...the whole reduction of politics and governance to a single dimensional, single binary digits is absurd. For the rest of the world, US politics just looks like schoolyard name calling and pointless bickering. It's better to discuss each issue constructively without tribes.
"Most liberals actually do understand that fascism can’t be defeated by voting hard enough, but the actual solution—challenging the legitimacy of authority—terrifies them. They assume the continued existence of the US government is vital to their safety, so they will tolerate anything to uphold it."
Top-tier work!

The probability of Dems winning the house majority in Nov is 75% The Senate, on the other hand, favors Repubs by 60%, while the Repubs have 2 defend 35 seats & dems only 21, despite this Repub may still retain their seats in red states Considering this, 2 impeach dems need advantage of 2/3 or 67
There’s a handful of nonsensical definitions that don’t agree with each other that add up to “people the posters don’t agree with” but as long as they can complain about dems they’re happy, whether complaining about professional office holders or progressives who have their number.
Bernie lost the nomination because too many of his supporters were independents rather than Dems allowed to vote in closed primaries. But it's these independents who probably would have given him (and the Dems) victory in November! A party wins elections by attracting voters beyond their base...
Cute little insult there! 🙄 You keep dodging my obvious Q, repeated several times: If these ideas you’re promoting are so great, why aren’t the Left Reps and Sens pursuing them?! And why only criticize Jeffries/Schumer and not the many Left Reps and Sens? Makes it clear you just want to help GOP!
🇺🇸This November will be one of the most critical Midterm Elections our country has ever had. We need to get out and vote against our elected officials who support this cruel and corrupt administration in numbers way too large to dispute. Decent folks must unite to save our democratic republic.🇺🇸
"This is the job of the Democratic Party and they failed"
We need to overturn the voter restriction laws enacted in our states, most of which were deliberately race based. "SCOTUS has not entirely overturned the Voting Rights Act of 1965, but it has issued significant rulings over the past decade that have severely weakened its enforcement mechanisms."
Bernie didn't cost Hillary my vote, Hillary did. In particularly her ambivalence to the protesters at Standing Rock. They were being blasted by water cannons in subzero temperatures and having dogs sicced on them. Hillary had the chance to stand with them and she chose Big Oil instead. Fuck Hillary
The Dems set up the superdelegate system to prevent the nomination of another "insurgent" candidate like George McGovern. They did this in the name of "electability," yet whenever it's counted the party establishment has backed the LESS electable candidate (Mondale, Kerry, Hillary)!
"Absolute Fing traitor"
Yes, Democracy. & OK, votes via elections may restore sanity. But, do u really think they are not going 2 cheat? Has the last 10 yrs given u confidence in our current process? If votes fail, yes strong actions Massive protest / Real resistance Violence, if needed Our current way are not working
