Americans biggest protest so far was planned months in advance to fall on a weekend so no one missed work or caused any real disruption to the status quo. Could have been an email, would have had the same effect. But please do tell everyone else to do something while you do nothing.

I doubt this is made up because the RWA imploded because white people felt like they didn't have enough power and/or didn't want to account for their racism in the association, despite a white man being President of the association. RWA was started by Vivian Stephens, a Black woman and an author.

I have witnessed a small handful of events that could arguably approach things they talk about re: exclusion (note "approach" does not mean actually is!), but even if I ceded far too much about those occasions, the deck is STILL stacked in favor of white people and it's crazy it even has to be said

Berkeley Copwatch is the original Copwatch group, begun in 1990. What we do today is standing on the shoulders of Copwatch volunteers and all who've already litigated public filming of law enforcement. They didn't anticipate what we're facing and fighting but they paved the way for our success.
