Posts criticizing Quentin Tarantino as 'overrated' and a 'shitty person'; claims he 'steals' scenes from Sergio Leone ("shot for shot theft" from Inglorious Basterds). Mentions Paul Dano as a catalyst for backlash, references 'PF' pacing disappointment, and comparisons to other directors/films (e.g., 'Millers Crossing', 'first 2 films').

Agree with the assessment of the first three, but after that he became obsessed with being overt and showy in his references and I find that this gets in the way; I can’t get lost in his films, or shake off the awareness that I’m WATCHING A TARANTINO."
It’s quite boring…by the numbers stuff. No, I got that sense, and life’s too short to watch something just so you can say you have watched it. We’re not 16 anymore and finding our way, and there’s too much great stuff being made and not enough precious time to give over to potential wank.
"I know I'll get shit for this because so many love his work. I have never loved any of it. It's violent and male-dominated. If you like him, great, but do not try an convince me he's valuable. To me, he's trash."
I liked Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill Vol 1. It was a time when I knew very little about him and I was much younger. As a Black, American man, I let his use of racial slurs pass because the likes of Samuel L. Jackson worked with him and continued to do so (maybe he's okay?). I don't feel that way now.

Ah sorry, I'm watching a Led Zep doc. Haven't seen H8. I couldnay be arsed but will see it eventually. I bought Django but only watched it once. For some reason I went for the steelbook...

"The definition of hypocrisy, Quentin Tarantino claiming “there is supposed to be an esprit de corps between artistic colleagues,” Surely, can't be the same Tarantino who was bad-mouthing Paul Dano just a few weeks ago. www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/quenti..."
He is simply a terrible person.
"I don't know why Paul Dano was the thing that finally made people turn on Quentin Tarantino, but I'll take it. Separate from being a shitty person, Tarantino is the most overrated director in the history of cinema."
I'm sorry, but after the fast pace of PF it was a letdown. The guy blew his load on his 1st 2 films. Having said that, I'm gonna watch Millers Crossing, which is my favorite Coen Bros film, again.

There aren't parallels, there are entire scenes Tarantino steals from Leone. Like half of Inglorious Basterds is a shot for shot theft from Leone.
