They have a gig at one of the local pubs tonight. Not a big concert person generally anyway (though i loved going to the National Folk Festival). Has been a looong time since i've been to something like this so dithering a bit about whether to go.

I didn't know, man. We went through this with Ticketmaster in 2013 and all we got was a voucher we could use on Ticketmaster's website for a limited number of concert options and... Wait for it... pay fees and the difference.

Huh. I remember the last settlement with TicketMaster, in which the « compensation » garnered by the suit was a bunch of tickets to inaccessible shows that few had any interest in seeing and which expired after two years. Totally worthless.

I am happy to see this post. I will never use Ticketmaster. They are thieves and also had a major breach that really became an issue in our house. I hope they either get closed down or they really are penalized and are not allowed to recoup that money from ticket buyers in the future.

Have been to check out the venue on my way home. So i've seen where it is. The pub vibe is fine. Not 100% sure on the seating (some bar stools and tables there at the mo but not sure if enough for everyone and not sure i could stand comfortably through a whole performance).
