Posts criticizing religion and religious influence, using phrases like “separation of church and state,” “Religion is a blight on humanity,” and “Keep that shit to yourself.” Themes: opposition to religious involvement in government, complaints about religious people imposing beliefs, and calls for secularism.
Created 225 days ago • 145 documents • Range: 9/3/25 2:39pm – 4/14 4:48pmI have two family members who spent their entire career in the government. Got very high up. Retired very young, etc Both of them turned out to be evangelicals. Were not raised that way. Utterly hate the government by the way. Even though they owe their very lives and livelihood to the government.
Si las sectas evangélicas no estuvieran metastatizando en medio mundo, incluida España, por mí como si se montasen un Battle Royale en EE.UU. con los mormones, los Amish, los menonitas y cualquier otra troupe de trastornados fundamentalistas.
New from me: across federal agencies, workers say religion—specifically Christianity—is showing up their workplace. “The vibes are bad and people don’t like it.” @wired.com www.wired.com/story/govern...
Growing up my religious parents supported the of separation of church and state not because it kept religion out of politics, but because it kept politics out of religion. It was a worthwhile tradeoff. If the Right had even the slightest amount of critical thinking they might get that now
it's wild that protestantism, a religious schism caused by people who lived every moment of their lives in mortal terror for their righteousness of their souls as weighed against the moral backbone of civilization, has achieved its final form as the perverted shibboleth of starvers and baby killers
one of the doctrinal problems here that is sort of just implicit in the jurisprudence (and might be genuinely hard to solve, tbf) is that any speech restriction or religious burden is evaluated the same whether it's a licensure condition like in Chiles or an actual criminal ban
The Dangers of Mixing Religion and Government in Society The article explores the dangers of merging religion and government, arguing that this blend transforms citizenship into a purity test, fostering compliance over conscience. It warns against interpreting law as theology, which leads to…
He means, of course, there should only be one religion, which would lead to others be persecuted in various ways. Disgusting. www.msn.com/en-us/news/p...
Yes, separation of church and state is mandatory. Are you simply judging him unfit for office because he belongs to a religion? Politicians are not allowed to believe in god? Maybe we might want to look at their views about the mess we are in to decide who gets our votes. (Ms Crockett is a baptist)
What tripe! Attempting to say America is a White Christian Nation is denying the power & truth of God's word! Failed Christians trying to define a faith based on race, totally misses what God has ordained. Any claiming to believe in Jesus KNOWS that Acts 17:30, God made ALL nations of one blood!
Yes, indeed! I believe one can be a person of faith, but they should not parade it around and use it as a ploy in a political platform. To me, doing so makes it and them suspect and a way to garner votes. Whatever faith one believes in, keep it to yourself if you're running for political office.
Atheist here: He rose to prominence fighting a Tx bill to mandate displaying the 10 commandments in schools. He is, obv, a Christian, but advocates for freedom of (and from) religion in public and governmental spaces. Watch some of his videos, read up on him a bit - you'll likely be impressed!
As a non-religious, functional agnostic, I think I can say just because someone has religion as a focus in their lives, doesn't disqualify them from being in the govt. The people who wrote about separation of church and state were deeply religious. Having it and pushing it on others is very diff.
"People who force their religion on others will force their politics on others. It’s why we separate church from state."
Exactly, no political party should be pushing a religion. And no religious sect should be preaching politics
"People who force their religion on others will force their politics on others. It’s why we separate church from state."
The USA exists because the early settlers wouldn't stand for that.
"People who force their religion on others will force their politics on others. It’s why we separate church from state."
And conversely, because religion is often used solely as a means of political control.
"People who force their religion on others will force their politics on others. It’s why we separate church from state."
Watch the documentary "bad faith" on TUBI. It sheds light on how we got here. DECADES in the planning
"Remember the Establishment Clause? That tiny sentence in the Constitution that says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”? Yeah, apparently that was just a polite suggestion."
I think this is the biggest hypocrisy they elected a person who is everything religion preaches against
"People who force their religion on others will force their politics on others. It’s why we separate church from state."
They can only win by deception and violence. This Motown-inspired women’s group tells us we have to Rise Above them. youtu.be/eXp3TOAx_uc?...

Not more than two minutes before reading this, I blocked a lunatic religious trumpanzee on Facebook. The usual, "Tain't no such thing as evolution!" rant.
